Music City Code
May 31 - June 2, 2018Music City Code
The Music City Code conference caters to developers and touches on all aspects of software and website development. This three-day event includes workshops, speaking sessions, and panel discussions.
Headspring’s Chief Architect Jimmy Bogard is giving a talk on “Containers – What Are They Good For?” Here’s a preview:
Containers, what are they good for? Probably something!
Containers and Docker have received a lot of hype over the past few years as a way of building smaller and smaller microservices. But what about the rest of us? Can containers improve the normal .NET/Windows developer’s life?
In this session, I’ll look at:
- Containerizing all aspects of a developer’s toolkit, from local dependencies, development, build, test, and finally, production,
- Where containers fit (and where they don’t)
- Several real-life projects with real-life constraints to explore how containers could save time (and money) or just make our lives a little bit easier.
This session will take place:
Date: Saturday, June 2, 2018
Time: 1:50pm – 2:40pm
Location: R308
