GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where technology professionals from designers, to developers and database administrators to marketers and web strategists donate their time to provide solutions for non-profit organizations.
Since its inception in 2007, the GiveCamp program has provided benefits to hundreds of charities, worth millions of dollars of developer and designer time in services!
A quick FAQ:
- Where can I learn more?
The website is www.austingivecamp.org.
- How is Headspring involved?
Headspring is the primary sponsor, but the event is the brainchild of our incredible team of engineers.
- How do Charities get involved? Is there any cost?
The GiveCamp team solicits applications from Charities that want to participate. There is no cost to the charity, other than, they need to submit an application (it’s super easy), be available for the logistical planning meeting(s), and also be involved throughout the GiveCamp hack-a-thon.
- How do local Technology Professionals get involved? Do I have to work at Headspring to do this?
If you are interested in joining us, please sign up! The more support we receive from the community, the more charities we can support. You can register as technology support, non-technology support, or you can contribute financially (for example, you can buy everybody lunch).
